...to everybody who came to the opening at the Frame Creative Gallery last weekend. These two guys seemed to be everybody's favourite of my pictures, that's why I am posting them here.The exhibition is still on for another two weeks.

...and finally

...the response images to the responses. Somebody wrote a text about a panda bear and a child (?)left a tiny drawing of a dwarf. I used these creatures as a starting point for these three pictures. I am also going to show them, together with a range of other works, at the Frame Creative Gallery in Edinburgh. The exhibition starts this Friday and will run throughout December. ...to everyone who came to the Hidden Door Festival last weekend and left their responses to "Impossible Offspring" with texts and drawings. I had a small glimpse into the orange letterbox this morning and will post some of the results soon.

Hidden Door Festival

I am taking part in the second Hidden Door Festival on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of October in the Roxy Art Center in Edinburgh. I have collaborated again with the writer Jane McKie and together we have produced a whole new set of images and poems. We are really excited now to show them in two weeks. The festival is going to be a great, great, great event and we are planning an audience participation part for our little exhibition. I have been the lucky winner of the Flair illustration competition for September. The image is based on a short story by Alexander Beattie called "Extra Terrestrial Intelligence" and was recently published by Duality Press.

Collaboration

Thanks again to my friend Haruka, who made this wonderful tiny pair of shoes for me! I made these two birds for her in turn. I really enjoyed it and I hope we can do more and more ambitious projects together. And who knows, we might even find a place to exhibit them - ideas, suggestions?

Greenfinch and Tigerfish

A few photographs of "Greenfinch and Tigerfish", a one-of artist book I did for the "A Book for a Lifetime" exhibition in Nicosia/Cyprus in 2008.I am going to show the book this weekend at the Glasgow Artist Bookfair together with some new works.
